What participants said
My biggest takeaway was realizing that I need to accept that some relationships at work will be tough. No matter what I do, some people just won’t like me—and that’s totally okay. I'm not exactly sure what I’ll do differently yet, but I think I’ll try to be braver and stand by my point of view more often.
One of the things I valued most from our session and your own experiences was what you mentioned about mental health. It’s not discussed enough (at least here in America) how much impact our mental health is to be able to perform better in all aspects of our lives.
Thank you again for our session, it was very helpful, felt comfortable and had a great flow! I appreciate your approach and how you navigated the conversations and summarized them for us in a way.
I couldn’t stop thinking about the workshop, where we shared how we try to help others daily while leaving ourselves emotionally drained, and thus, no longer able to perform our job because we’re out of energy 3 hours into the work day.
I really appreciated the atmosphere you created in the group—it felt so positive, open, and inviting. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly how you did it, but I think your charisma and tone played a big part.
I loved the initiative of using “I” when describing your situation, i think it was key to later connect it to “it is our responsibility as well, therefore we need to take actions”.
